botox to reduce signs of ageing

Dr Singh who runs his botox clinic in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, in his latest blog shares his thoughts on how your face changes over the years.

As we progress through life our face goes through many changes naturally, the aging process. However, environmental factor, such as sun exposure, wind, our life choices, such as smoking, drinking heavily have a dramatic effect on our skin. It is important to remember that healthy skin and a good skin care habit and routine starts in the early years and ideally must be maintained throughout the years.
As you go from childhood into adulthood, you begin to lose the ‘baby fat’ and your features are growing into adulthood. The facial changes that may possibly occur during the age of 20 to 30 are:
Beginning of fine lines which can be reduced with botox injections
Slight dullness of the skin
While in your 30’s you will still retain much of your youthful look, this is the decade when you may notice your skin looks tired and less radiant. The following facial changes may occur from the age of 30 to 40 years old:
The upper eye lids, the skin becomes saggy.
The outer corners of the eye develop crow’s feet
Frown lines appear on the forehead
Wrinkles start to appear around the nose and mouth corners
As you enter into your 40 to50’s the facial changes that occur are:
Same as above however the following may also occur:
Lower eyelid bags or in some cases the lower eyelids appear sunken
Lines between the eyebrows – treated via botox
Drooping on the outside of the eyebrows
Loss of fatty tissues under the cheeks
Deepening of the smile lines
During the age of 50 to 60 year old, the effects of gravity kick in:
Dropping of the eyebrows – uplifted via botox treatments
Many people find that the tip of their nose droops
Loss of tightness in the skin
Thinning of the upper and lower lip
Many of the facial changes pointed out above can be prevented, maintained and managed with the use of Botox and Dermal Fillers. All Botox treatments and Dermal Filler must be applied by an experienced and qualified Doctor.
