Botox parties

Dr Singh who runs his botox clinic in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, in his latest blog shares his thoughts on A Botox Party – A good idea or not a good idea?

A Botox party is a frequent conversation heard around some social circles. A social gathering at a friend’s home seems like a delightful idea, being in the comfort and safety of a home, lively chatter, food and drinks flowing. Although this sounds like a fabulous idea, the chances are there will not be any measures put in place to safe guard the client nor the doctor and to carry out the procedure safely and effectively.
If you choose to drink alcohol at a Botox party, many doctors will not carry out the procedure as the client will not fully understand the benefits and the risks associated with the Botox treatment. Also under the influence of alcohol a client increases their risk of bruising afterwards.
While Botox injections and treatments are safe, however, side effects and / or complications do occur such as, slight bruising around the injected area, discomfort and temporary muscle weakness. The next possibility is relatively low; however the toxin can spread to various parts of the client’s body. If there was a tiny possibility something may go wrong, being at a clinic, allowing the doctor access to help with a medical emergency will be beneficial.
If you are considering any form of Botox treatment, please use a qualified, reputable and experienced doctor. They will take a detailed medical history and the medication you are currently taking and see if Botox injection is right for you.

I summary avoid botox partiers and be treated in the sterile environment of a clinic.
